My student welfare initative:
A case study
Overview
In response to the academic struggles of students facing language barriers and other challenges, I initiated and led a peer-support group aimed at providing tailored tutoring and guidance, enabling students to excel academically and gain confidence
The issue
I noticed many students at my university faced difficulties in their academics due to language barriers, lack of resources, or personal challenges. These barriers led to low confidence, poor performance, and feelings of exclusion

I created a group of students who struggled with academics due to language barriers (as they were from Damman and Diu)
​I developed customized learning plans based on individual student needs, focusing on language proficiency, subject fundamentals, and confidence building
Conducted weekly tutoring sessions, mentorship programs, and progress tracking for over 20 students (ranging from first year to masters)
Within three months, 75% of the students showed an average grade improvement of 30%.
Feedback from students and parents highlighted significant growth in both confidence and academic performance.
